Black wheel centers on gold rims---opinions please.

I think the black center looks better than the gold, what do you think?

Well, you asked, but of course it is only my opinion... I think those wheels look wrong on your car. That center section around the lugs kind of looks wierd. Maybe if they were black as you suggest, it would look better. If I were you, I would sell them, and buy something in silver or polished (if you want something more modern looking), or go with some SC finish 17" wheel and you will be in the zone!

Wheels

Looks different for sure with the chrome center caps. Here's mine with black center caps.

You're welcome. I happen to have center wheel caps in photoshop on separate layer and saw your thread. Glad I can help. I like the look of black center cap also.

From a looks perspective...the more I study TX TARGA 1974's car...I think the problem is with the balloon type tires....not the wheels. Maybe low profile rubber would make it look a bit better.

I was at my dark monitor earlier today when I first saw this. I was thinking then it looked like the tires might be too tall. Wil nailed it I think...

I also think it would help it if the rockers were body color. It does something visually that I don;t like, but heck it is only MY opinion. Sorry Tex, I need to post a picture of my car so you can tell me everything you don't like about mine. ;-)

Porsche Crest BBS Wheels

I think they look good on Red Cabs as well!

The balloon tires aren't helping, but I think more than anything it is the kit car wheels that are causing problems.:

oooohhh - thank goodness. By the title, I thought you meant all black wheel centers (complete spoked section) on gold wheel-halves (instead of silver). I was going to ask if you worked as a sexual recruitment consultant and were building your mobile...
