Wiring questions
The Pelican wiring diagram for the 82 SC Part 3 page 1 shows a red wire coming out of Fuse 18 (upper right) and going to a box inside which are "VI" and "9". Can anyone tell me exactly what this is? I can't find a legend.
Also, I can't find where the factory alarm is wired either on the Pelican diagram or in my Haynes manual. Can anyone help with this info as well? Thanks, Dick |

The VI means Section 6 and the 9 is a reference point. On the bottom of the diagrams you will see numbers going across.
To find this wire go to Section 6 of the diagrams and then move to the right until you see a 9. It is actually on Section 6, page 2. Then go straight up and you should see your red wire. It is referenced the same as III 9. Which means it comes from Section 3, 9. To save you some time, this red wire is circuit power for the OXS relay (which sits under the passenger seat.) What bothers me about these diagrams is the missing middle section on all of them. You can see from the reference numbers that they consistently skip 1 or 2 numbers in the middle...

The Bentley SC Repair Manual would be very helpful.

Thanks guys, for the info, especially on how to read the diagram. Perhaps there's a post or some instructions somewhere, but I haven't been able to find them. I have a Haynes manual, but I better get a Bentley as well. Dick
