Specs for testing clutch switch out of car?

I am troubleshooting the CC clutch switch on my 82. All I get is continuity when the lever is closed (=clutch pedal forward, and the switch is open when the lever is pressed (=clutch pedal up)

Is it a simple open/closed switch?

The reason the switch is suspect is because the Ohm reading between ground and pin 3 from the amplifier connector was out of spec.

it's a simple on/off switch. use an ohmmeter.
