Christian's tool
I'm sure there have been a number of posts on this but today I used it on 8 broken exhaust studs. WOW!!!! I had all eight drilled out, cleaned, threads chased, and new studs installed in four hours with the engine in a stand. I can't rave enough about how good this tool is. If someone is on the fence about buying one get off the fence and fork over the cash, it isn't THAT much. There are some tools that are worth every penny you spent and this is definitely one of them. Damned good tool!!!

Does anyone sell a fixture for drilling broken exhaust studs
Try this thread. It should direct you to Christian, aka "a quiet boom"

we did all 12 on my 3.2 on an engine stand and it worked perfect, my understanding is doing it with the engine still in the car it's a bit easier due to the leverage you get laying on the floor underneath with the drill

I already had the engine out for other reasons but either way it was a piece of cake.
