Hydro Pneumatic Struts
I have a pair of hydro pneumatic struts and would like to take the strut inserts out. I've removed the large cap nut. I've tried turning what looks like a gland nut shown in the picture (with the holes) but it is really hard to turn and doesn't seem to unscrew out. Please help.

I'm guessing those holes are for a specific spanner wrench.
if you you're feeling lucky, you can try a 3-day soak with pb blaster or kroil, then try it with a plumbers pipe wrench, (just with a purchase/grip on the cap portion) - another guess - Bill K
