I have to replace the muffler on my 3.2 engine that has 964 cams. Currently, I have headers with 2" pipes. I am planning on purchasing two 10" long 4" Supertraps. I plan to manufacture/buy a mating flange and pipe that will bolt to the headers and the supertraps will clamp on to the manufactured pipe. I am also thinking about a crossover pipe that will go between the 2 manufactured pipes.
Anyway, am I on the correct path? Looking for someone who has experience with this exhaust system on a 911 motor. Thanks in advance |

I have supertraps on the race car and so far I am satisfied with them... I haven;t tried to tune them much yet, so I don't have anything GOOD to say, but also nothing BAD to say either. I'm not sure I would put them on a street car though, their very loud and somewhat visually obtrusive.

I think that the noise level will still be loud until you pull back to 5 discs (or less) and then it will be like putting a cork up it's rear.
Good for the track.... but not so much on a street car (for noise reasons). |
