Rear axle bearings...
Howdy,
I can't find out if you can remove the inner bearing from the rear hub on the trailing arm without removing the CV axle stub which would mean removing the CV joint first. Or can you remove both bearings from the end of the axle while it's still in place? Thanks,

You have to remove the stub axle to remove both bearings. The Turbo bearings are like the front bearings- they're tapered roller bearings. So you must get the axle out of the way for the bearings to drop out. The tougher thing to deal with is removing the inner races.
A search of "turbo rear bearings" found the topic below. The nice picture here courtesy of Grady shows everything very well. Turbo Trailing Arm Discussion

Kevin,
Many thanks for the information, I hadn't see the exploded parts diagram before, the PET doesn't show it well. Hopefully I don't need to R&R the rear bearings at this time, plus I just had the C.V. joints off for servicing and now I have the brakes and rotors off, too bad I didn't do this all at once. I guess I'll wait until the rear bearings start talking to me, looks like an ugly job... I appreciate your input.
