Anderson's Value of '86 TL Cab

I am helping a friend sell his low mileage (43K miles). well taken care of '86 factory Turbo Look cab. I'd like to know Bruce Anderson's valuation for it as featured in "Excellence" magazine. I no longer keep back issues of mags (no room).

Anyone out there have the back issue with this info? Thanks

I don't think Anderson has a specific value for the TL cars.

But even if he did, I don't think his values are that accurate for a lot of the different models, esp. the limited production stuff, or the unique, like a low mileage TL cab. You kinda have to just have a finger on the pulse of the market, and see what they have been selling for, to get a price.

I know there was an '86 TL Cab recently at Cars Dawydiak in SF, it had higher mileage (I think close to 90,000 miles), I think it was advertised for around $33,000, and it is sold.

TL's are one of those cars that have a bit of a "cult" following. And there are those who look for low mile TL cars, and who will pay a premium, but the car needs to be original, no mods.

IMO, if his car is all original, in excellent condition, he can get mid $30s for it if he actively markets it, is patient, and finds the right buyer who wants that particular car and color combo. If he is in a hurry, I'd think he could get $25K very quickly and easily, maybe even from a dealer who will flip it.

weekend bump - I'd still like to know what Anderson had in his annual Excellence valuation.
