A 901/07 is an E and S tranny fitted to US delivery cars in '69.
correction: Fitted to NON US cars. It has the same gear ratios as a 901/13 which was for the US 911S, but the 901/07 is a die cast housing as opposed to the pressure cast /13 I wonder if a back up light is on both? Last edited by milt; 04-22-2008 at 08:03 AM.. |

Milt is correct. This is a ‘normal’ 911 from early 1969. It has the die cast aluminum transmission housings but uses the 108 mm CV joints.
This was the optional 5-speed in the early ’69 911T I don’t think there was any distinction between USA and RoW delivery. Sometine in early spring ’69 the standard optional 5-speed was changed to the magnesium casting 901/13. The 901/07 is geared: AFMSZ with a 7:31 R&P. Yours is #2442 out of a total of 2529. This should have the ‘reinforced’ input shaft Unless updated, it will have the ‘simplified’ differential. This absolutely needs updating. Best, Grady
