lucas product, anyone use it?

Anyone try Lucas additive. Talk to a guy at the pits at cal speedway a few weeks ago, he swears by them. I am not looking to use it on the 930, but on my other clunkers. Is this stuff lilke chevron's fuel injector cleaner? He puts them in the tank every fuel up. He use to work at Andial and built many of their IMSA motors. He also know a bunch of big name local motor builders that came out of Andial. Must know something? What do you think of the product?

Jeff

I've used it to help clean the fuel system on some of my older cars that sit in storage for many months. Will let you know how they work.

Talked to a guy last fall whoused to be a mechanic and runs an auto parts store that sells all brands. He uses it in his cars, new and old, and especially likes it for big old Detroit iron. That's all I know. Never used it.

From what I have read, not what I know, on BOBSISTHEOILGUY.COM is:

"I wish they spent more on research and less on advertising"

Your millage may vary.

The only vehicle I ever used the oil additive in, was a 1993 S-10 V6, and caused the rear main seal to leak. I changed the oil a couple of times, no more leak. The rear seal only had about 3000 miles on it since it had been replaced, when the lucas was added to the oil when the filter and oil was changed. It started leaking within an hour from when it was added at the change. I don't believe that I will use any more of their products.

i use the oil additive on my TR4.....it has to be used in moderation, or else it will absolutely turn the oil solid....it feels like 90 weight gear oil when you pour it in. it does slow down oil consumption in that big old 4 cylinder, though.

They have fuel additives and oil additives. I believe they have a lot more additives that I won't be buying either.
