Post Need help with resale value of 930 HRE Rims

Hi....here's my situation:

I've had a set of 4 HRE rims from a prior 1984 930 that I owned and I am having trouble putting a resale value on them. I think these rims are not made anymore....

can anyone give me their original price and suggest a fair value that I can offer these for in excellent condition? Thanks a lot.

I had a set of BBS wheels very simular to what you have they were 16x7 and 16x8 I sold them for $400 and they were snatched up pretty fast. I would venture to say they would bring 5-600 without any problem.

so you're saying that BBS rims are of similar value to HRE's?

I would think the BBS rims would sell for more than HRE's. I can believe the $400 BBS would sell quickly and I also believe the price of $600 is close. With one of Jack's adds you may be able to get more. What size are the rims? What do you have mounted on them (I can see BFG)? If they are the right size, I may be interested in taking a look at them (and the harness' too?).

Depends heavily on the buyer.

I would pay $300 for track use.

To me they are not that "hip" anymore. The design has not aged well, all the "hot" wheels are more along the 5 spoke look or 18"/19" super low profilers.

Unless they are Fuchs or BBS the resale is crap. Look at the cookie-cutters they are almost free for crying out loud!

Then again you could have Jack write-up a super dupper ad for gar-bay and seel them for $3000

Good luck,

I found some numbers on the rims. Anyone know what it means?

FRONT RIMS: 10 5 10 5 10

REAR RIMS: 5 10 5 10 5

all the 10's and 5's have a circled "F" over them....
