Carrera Tail, how is it installed.

On the 84-89 Carrera factory tail, how is it installed on the factory deck?

Is there added holes in the deck lid, or dose it just attach to the stock grill points?

There are added holes. To add one, you have to drill the decklid. To take one off and run without it, you need to weld up the holes and repaint.

That's why most people sell and buy Tails with the decklid.

it's not very hard to mount however, but you need some unique hardware that would have come with the tail.

in the end you will end up drilling 4-6 holes, and then, drilling new holds so you can re-mount your carerra or sc script. the whole job (when you have all of the parts) takes only a few hrs. I did mine by tracing the holes on the tail and using this as a guide for where to drill
