Need Yellowbird Replica Advice

Newbie here....Creating a RUF yellowbird from a 1983 SC.

I purchased the bumpers from MA Shaw.

What Rear Spoiler should I use?

What paint color code should I use? Other post say to use (Por139 blütengelb)

Is this a code my body shop will recognize and be able to replicate?

Thanks in advance for thoise who respond.

I believe that yellowbird used a regular carrera tail, not the turbo one. If you do a search there is a thread entitled something like "the ultimate RUF conversion thread" or something like that. Lot's of information and pictures.

I would use a Shaw RSA spoiler, you can paint it body color or contrasting color like black

I did the same conversion for my 1982 SC. The supplier was Getty Design. Though the structural component and finish of the bare product was quite good the fitting of the front and rear bumpers as well as the RSA tail took about 150 hours to the point of "ready for paint". One thing good about Getty is that he makes you aware from the start that any fiberglass part will take time to do the proper fit and finishing. The RSA tail mounted on the origional steal lid worked great. I painted the tail to match the car, without the black "lip". I questioned the painter on this but in the end he was definitely right. The completed car turned out great and as close or better than what Alois would turn out, it just took a lot of time.

Here is a photo of the finished car to give you an idea of what the tail will look like painted to match the body. Overall it is a personal preference. Good luck with your project.

A Shaw RSA is just a lighter 1 piece version of the Carrera tail.
