New member of the SCWDP...
Yes, I pulled the trigger and purchased my first Porsche. I need some updates on the various SCWDP badges/decals/franchise opportunities...
1980 sunroof coupe, Metallic silver (936) with black interior. SSIs, Dansk 2 in 2 out, turbo tierods and valve covers, Carrera style wing, H4s, yadda yadda yadda. NO CRACKS IN THE DASH!!! Woohoo!! Uber-aftermarket AC condenser under the floorpan (massive!), some complex stereo with stuff that I don't particularly care about, and a BIG BURLY EXHAUST NOTE. 110K on the clock. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Very nice - good color.
Where's your airbox lid? That a K&N filter? In Houston for sure you can backdate the heater and get all those hoses out of there. I can see why your exhaust is 'burly'. 2 out. |

Yes, a K&N, which I'm not particularly keen on, but I'd make that decision later. I have access to the airbox cover, so I might go stock for now with that.
The heat backdate is absolutely on my shortlist, especially because it's so cheap and effective. Also on my short list is an MSD box. I am getting the entire stock exhaust system as well, so I'll have to make room for that, and decide what I want to do...stick with the window rattling SSI/Dansk, go to stock, or sell them both off and do something different. The entire $1500 stereo might get pulled and sold, I don't listen to much music anymore, and (at least for now) would have trouble hearing anything anyways above idle ![]()

Welcome.
Better put a cover on that airbox before it rains.

I'm NOT a K&N fan, so I dumped it, too. I dumped a boom box stereo too. Silly in a car like this. That's mitsubishi stuff. Tried a stock muffler that was gutted. sounded neat. for about 30 minutes, then incredibly annoying. It's gone. |

I went 9 mo. without any stereo and now that I have one, it only gets used about half the time. That burbling exhaust note is all the music you need!
