Can I replace my (CIS) airbox without partial engine drop?
I have a stainless CIS airbox w/ built-in pop off valve that I picked up a couple of years ago. Can I replace my airbox without doing a partial engine drop? Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks |
Yes, you most certainly can. I just got done doing it.
It is a bit of a PITA at times, but be patient and you'll get through it fine. |
Great, thanks! I didn't want to get half way through only to find out it couldn't be done.

easy up to 1979 US cars. hard after that due to all the lambda crap in the way.

Good, then I can't procrastinate any longer.:D

I have done it on my 73.5 but I have to say it is a whole lot easier with the motor down a few inches. The partial engine drop takes about 10 minutes and is well worth the effort.
