Look what I found!

I was busy backdating the heater on my 81sc when I noticed that the brown plug on the drivers side firewall was installed one pin off (well 2 pins) to the rear! the car runs great, starts fine cold (1200 rpm for about 6 min then 900) no problems noted. when I reset the plug correctly, the idle drops to about 300 rpm's, runs super rich, spudders and dies. I put the plug back on where it was and funs fine.
It looks to me that I have to reset everything (timing, idle, CO mixture adjustment, ect.)
Anyone experienced this? I might find more things wrong when hooked up correctly than I care to!!!!! Thanks
