Tach Wiring Confirmation

I've just received my tach back from refurbishing (to include an added voltmeter, cool). The wiring in the back of the unit has changed a little and I just want to make sure my reference is correct before buttoning things up. Per image below, pin1 (blue w/ yellow stripe) is tach connection correct? I'm certain pin3 is neg and pin4 is pos respectively.

Also, there is another thin red wire coming out in the place of the voltmeter that is labeled +ED or +D (cant see fully). 99% sure this is the positive lead to the voltmeter. The black is wired to what looks like the general gauge neg, thus understandible. Would you say a splice into the main tach positive (red) would work here too? If so, wouldn't the builder have spliced them already? I assume so since the goal is to read total voltage (hopefully close to 12). See below. Any thoughts on how to wire power to this little guy?

Your help is appreciated.

Wow... the stress of Houston traffic must have cluttered my reasoning. After some down time and noodle tracking, looks like this red +D is actually the + for the highbeams. Duh... voltmeter Pos looks to be spliced with general tach Pos under the tape. Oh well, good pics for reference I guess. I'm embarassed
