Depends on what 951 they came from. The 86 951 had 38/36 size pistons and Porsche decided to switch to 40/36 in 87. Then the 88 and 89 951S had the S4 sized calipers (think 928S4 or 993 size calipers) which have 44/36 pistons, and therefore a much bigger caliper with bigger, more expensive brake pads. These 993/24 calipers are a bit more desirable but certainly not rare by any means. The basic 951 caliper is not rare by any means either- these calipers were native to the base 951, 964 and 968 cars. VERY plentiful.
Pairs of the front or rear base 951 caliper go for ~$200 on eBay all day from individual sellers. Dismantlers or individuals who part out cars seem to ask top dollar. I've seen quite a few buyers score complete sets for $250 from sellers who just want to be rid of them. Prices seem to be dropping for some reason as time goes on. These calipers used to be hard to get for less than $600-$700 per set. I'd make sure you get a set that has the rubber dust boot seals and NOT the older style scraper dust seals. The rebuild kits for scraper type are almost three times the cost of rubber boot seal type. That makes a big difference when it comes time to "rebuild" the calipers with new seals, dust boots and pistons.
