Another originality question! '83 SC 911

My friend and I are debating the correctness of an UNLEADED FUEL ONLY sticker placed next to my gas door. This is an 83 SC US car. It appears to look like an original sticker...but it is on the outside of the door on the fender.

Correct??

Thanks
mg

Now you got me thinking? My Euro fenders had the sticker on the outside fender, my US gas door had it on the inside of the door, not sure now?

Both my 80 and 82 have/had them on the outside, on the fender, behind the filler flap.

Also, ordered a decal set for the 82 and that sticker was included.

Other 80 a friend had had been repainted, so don't know, but it had it on the inside of the flap.

Where did you get that (the decal set)? Thanks!

While you're at it, don't forget the sticker on the cruise control.

yep! my 83 SC cabriolet has it on the outside right next to the gas door. Keep debating whether or not to buff it off some day.

Kind of funny this thread started. I have been wanting to start one a while to see how many actually still had the unleaded fuel only decal on the fuel/oil level gage? Mine is there and in like new condition. Can't seem to get myself to pull it off of there...

Thanks Lorne M.

Still have mine but it's pretty faded. Maybe time to replace it.

Thanks, but my question references tcar's purchase of a "decal set," and not just the unleaded fuel decal.

Sorry for the delay,
Got them from the folks listing this set:

ebay No. 180243822772

Sent them a message asking if they had a set for an '82, they did.
Listed as being in FL, but the decals came from Germany. Are very nice. Even has the Shell sticker for the air cleaner lid, Air Conditioning sticker for the the window, 2 einlass stickers, the 'diode' sticker for the alternator...

And, sorry the fender 'unleaded' decal was NOT part of the set. I got it, and the cruise control sticker from Pelican - they got them from Germany and it took a couple weeks.

I not only still have the unleaded sticker on the fuel gauge, but still have the original 85mph speedo - can't bring myself to change it, either.

Use the tach for speeds higher than 85.
