993 wheels....

993 wheels....

Ok I need new wheels / tires for my 1996 993. I know very little. My budget for the wheels (no tires) is 1200.00$ Does that leave me in "Guido-Ville" as far as taste? Or should I go with a set of used stock wheels from a newer 911?....

....Help me out here.....

ps: I am looking to go with a larger wheel like on the more recent 911s......I love the HRE stuff but 4000+ is just NOT in my budget..

Thanx,

SvK

her are some aftermarket MY01 996 wheels wheels & tire set

wheels only

Another set MY01 996

I wouldn't use them on track but they are probably ok for street use

The last company often has CarreraIII wheels w/ the correct o/s
CarreraIII

But CIII w/ the correct o/s are not currently listed, you want 8ET50 or 52 & 10ET65

This may seem simplistic but save some money until you can afford what you want.

I was seriously considering the CIIIs from the lat place for street use on my car til some oem Speedlines became available at a good price.

I use oem BBS MY01 996 for my track wheels'

again I urge up to stick w/ 8 ET50 or 52 & 10 ET65 if you ever want to lower the car much.

BBS MY01 996

oem Speedline

i know...BUt isn't it just PURE snobbery to spend between 4500 and 6500 on wheels?

Only people who can't afford high end wheels think that way. Plus you are driving a 993 which is already frivolous and unpractical so the price of wheels are not going to change that.
