Question Help - Ignition ID

I'm in the process of cleaning up some electronics in the car. I'm removing the wiring for 3 stereo installs and at least 2 alarm installs. The sad thing is last year I cleaned up 2 other stereo installs. The more wires I remove the more I find doing nothing.

Is this a stock ignition relay?

It looks after market and it must have been tied to an alarm at some point. Obviously its a normally closed since there is nothing I can see that is giving it juice.

That looks totally after market to me. I know someone here knows more than I do but I am pretty sure its not stock and I would remove it.

When it comes to electronics/wiring I apply the following mantra:

"when in doubt, rip it out".

The less electrical crap in a car, the better, typically.

Well, I nuked it and at least, no joke, 5 lbs of wires. Everything seems ok but I have yet to turn on the AC or the front lights. Fingers crossed!

Randy: 80sc. Got to put that back in my sig.
