Alignment/ride height questions

Alignment question for Auto-x/street

My '72 goes in for an alignment on Wed. and I have a question - which wheels/tires should I put on it for the alignment?

For the street, I use 205/55-15 KDW2s on 15 x 6 Fuchs, but for auto-x I'll use 205/50 and 225/45 r888s on 15 x 6.5/7.5 custom steelies.

I currently run -1.5 camber all around with no issues, and am trying for -2.5 front and -3.0 rear.

It seems smart to have the track wheels on for the alignment to ensure that the back doesn't rub, but wouldn't that then leave the ride height too high when I run my street wheels? Current ride height is 24.25"F/23.75"R with street wheels

Also, other than camber, any recommendations for my other settings? Car is driven daily and autocrossed 7-8 times a year.

If you want to optimize settings for autox, then set the alignment with the track wheels. For a daily-driver, 2.5-3 deg negative camber is a lot and you're going to wear out inside of tires. I doubt you're going to get that much anyway without camber boxes. I got about -1.8 to -2 deg on my track-prepped '74 coupe. I'd go with 0 toe in front, -15' toe-in in the rear and 6-7 deg caster. BTW, I may be stating the obvious but unless you're also doing a corner-balance, the alignment alone will not change your ride height. Depending on class and rules, look at bigger torsion bars if still stock. Look at the torsion bar article on Pelican for some recommendations.
