Another M&K installation
I finally made the move to upgrade to an M&K muffler. Its a one in, one out and I have left the cat in (for now). The M&K is very quiet with no resonance. It is also 10 pounds lighter than the homemade unit that came with the car.
What came off - ![]() This is what went on (I put the brushed finish on myself). Ben shipped a 3" pipe which my shop custom fit on the car. ![]() And the final product. I love it. Now I will just wait for Ben's pre-muffler for the next upgrade. ![]()

It's a pleasure working with Ben isn't it. My M&K had no resonance with the cat on. I replaced it with a bypass and now have some around 2000 to 2300 rpms. But it sounds much cooler

Ben has modified his product offering as the market has requested. And he is willing to do right by the customer. Not many businesses like that since Jack Welch's influence over the last 15 year.

What is that you had on before? Pros/cons/likes...etc?

I thought it was a Bursch but after removing it I think it may be custom made. Pros, good sound, lighter than stock and cheap. Cons, heavier than the M&K, did not look stock, and tended to bounce around a little. Who knows on power but the M&K seems stronger. That may be imaginary!!
