89 911 Cab - squeaking sound when air is on.

I have a strange situation. It seems that the AC fan squeaks when the 911 is in a turn or moving. It goes away when I come to a full stop. It is not very loud and is intermittent. It almost seems like the fan is out of balance. I thought it was the suspension at first but the squeak goes away if I turn off the AC while the car is moving. Has anyone had a similar situation before I start on this project.

Yeap, same sound here too.

Most likely the fan motor rubbing against the housing internally. Mine makes the sqeeking sound in level 2.

I read some posts about opening up the smuggler's box, finding the big black fan housing, taking the screw on top out and putting a couple of drops of oil in there. I had a squeak that sounded like a little bird chirping. Went away with a couple of drops of oil.

Thanks. I will give it a try over the weekend. Oiling it sounds promising. I suspect part of the problem is that I am driving the 911 on a regular basis where the prior owner did not use it much. Consequently, I have had to replace the foot well fans and the blower in the engine compartment as well. I suspect this one may be dry or ready to go.
