Most fun ever had on a public road

I was just curious for those of us that don't have a track close by what road have you had the most fun on with your 911. I personally think Tantalus drive in Honolulu is the most fun and a close second was a state park in Kansas that had the drive thru was 2.5 miles and some real good hairpins until they caught wind of me going down there when it was slow (no one in the park) and put in speed bumps.

What's with the phone in your ear?!

Personally, I wouldn't be yaking with my GF while doing serious driving.

I have a different steering style as well, but whatever works best for you.

My hand positions are probably the end result of having run this section (practically in my back yard) several hundred times in this car over the years and my getting a bit too casual. The ear piece for my cell isn't really a distraction and necessary for family reasons, but I hear you now! LOL
BTW: I love the set up on your ride Fred

Oh, I'm just bustin' on you Donny.

Seeing the 12:00 tape on the wheel, I figured you for some experience on the track & thought you'd appreciate that dig.

It's a nice setup, I do like it. Not too harsh, but I think I might address the stock sways with an adjustable setup. Still just a touch too much roll for my likes. With the Kumho MX tires, it's pretty grippy, but too quiet I find near the point of breakaway on the tires. One of those "gotta knows" vs. the tires telling you ahead of time. I have to credit Steve Weiner at Rennsport for pointing me toward the configuration & making the one-stop shopping happen on the hardware. Did the swap in the driveway last summer. I still find the pics of the (incorrect / initial) ride height hilarious...

I go with the SE Mass guys here for regular fun runs... they find some neat roads to hit, and with the right group of guys, it's a great time.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program!

Been awhile since I've driven that part of AZ since I moved, isn't that either White Spar Rd (89) going south from Prescott to Wilhoit or Yarnell or S on Senator Road from Prescott?

Is there a couple of telescopes on top of that mountain Donny?

Ah, nevermind, after watching more, and reading that it's local to you, it's not the 12 miles of mountain twisty fury that I tore up every day to work in my old RX-7...

The Spars are the 89 section between Prescott and Wilhoit, Willie, You got it. We have the Spars to the south, Mingus Mountain to the East and Bagdad to the North. Sports Car Heaven on earth... don't tell anyone.

Is that your regular ride height? If so that may be the cause of the excess roll you mentioned. And I know you were just jabbing me. All in fun eh?

75carrera, there's a reason racecar drivers don't move their heads from side to side in concert with the corners. Also, who's the guy in your rearview mirror? Looks like he's pushin' you pretty good.

The car in the mirror is a 91 C4 driven by a young friend. He does a great job of hanging in there and does push me. We get out frequently together and with some interesting others ie: a supercharged Lotus Elise, 2004 360 F1 Ferrari and several very strong Porsches. I've posted this a few times but here it is again if you missed it... This follows along our favorite section.

Oh GOD no, that was close to 4" of fender gap in the back. It WAS easy on my back getting in & out of the car though...

I had to re-index the torsion bars. I got it to... 25.5" front / 25" rear off the floor IIRC my next shot, which was much better, but the alignment guy dropped it further to 24.75 / 24.25" from memory, which had the chin scraping every driveway you tried to get into. War wrote "Lowrider" about mine at that point, I think...

Last place I took it to for align / corner balance did a better job & bumped the height back up for me.

And yeah, Mark's one of "Dem Guys".

Those videos are safely tucked away on the Bill forum.

We wouldn't want to get the PC crowd all riled up now would we?
