Newbie Introduction W/Pics

Hello Guys/Girls,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Neil and my baby is a 69 911T. As I have been finding out at PCA events i am also the youngest member by far. I have been using this forum for a while now and you guys are great for advice and help. My ride is bone stock as of now but i am planning some suspension upgrades after i replace the pans. I swapped out my Marrelli for a Bosch 008 but lost power so I am contemplating a pertronix and MSD. Now for the important question, the P.O. chose the ivory white color but I am looking for another choice. Keep in mind I am keeping the red interior. Any suggestions. BTW i am toying with an RS conversion, whats the verdict? I know stock LWB's are getting harder to find.

Any advice/criticism is welcome, just trying to learn more about these great cars.

Here come the pics

Welcome. Car looks great.

But if you really have your heart set on modding it, silver, light, medium or charcoal grey, or black all look nice w/ a red interior.

is white the original color? if so and you insist on a change (i wouldn't change from original color) i'd go slate grey. love a red interior! great car.

Sweet car.

If you want to do mod's there are plenty of scuffy old 911s that could do with a fix up.

Stock...it's a great look. I'd get the ignition sorted out, then do a little work on the suspension (to my eye, it looks like it might stand a "slight" lowering) and get a set of Fuchs and tires for carving up the back roads.

But KEEP THE STEELIES, they make the look.

Anything period correct on red, very cool!
Stock, absolutely, S front bumper, not so much!

yup, that is a fine Porsche because it's stock. I mean check it out, the radio antenna, driving lights, seats, vent wings, period correct badge, it goes on and on. Only way to make it better is to make it more stock..which ain't gonna be possible.

Hey Neil, congrads a read head turner. Now for my $.02. I am in the final stages of a restoration on my tangerine 67 soft window targa that has taken several years. But it will be almost perfect. I have learned several things from the threads here. But I have also grown to appreciate every detail that went into the design of this wonderful piece of ART. My car is bone stock except for the 84 front suspension for a better drive. I have restored the original front end in the event I want to switch it back. I too thought of upgrades like a hot 3.0 etc. but maybe the length of the restoration was a god send because I love this car just as it was ment to be. Enjoy and remember that you are one of the fortunate few who will ever own such a piece of art

Neil, beautiful car! You're going to have a tough time beating the light ivory/red combo.
