Here are pictures of my quasi 73 RS w/ Black trim.

I have chosen to re-paint in its original Gulf Blue.

It should look something like this.

Given the color change; I am contemplating, like Andy, adding back my chrome.

Andy, Great looking car in both guises!

Trim is silver, not black, but here's a silver RS look.

Save up for real 16 inch Fuchs. I have 16x7 and 16x8. 930 Turbos used the 16 inch Fuchs, so there are some out there.

"Fachs" (fake Fuchs) will not hold up to the preformance standards of German engineering and fast driving. Unless they are TUV approved (not DOT!) only go with real brand-name wheels, be they Fuchs, BBS, Mahle, cookie cutters, Cups, whatever.

Ok, how about a Solomon solution - split the diff. and paint it GRAY.

But, not just any gray - use a metallic gray - there aren't many cars out there in any metallic gray and it will look great! It will be easier to clean and show less dirt than black, yet will not be as common as silver.

Take a look at the recent thred on gray cars - active just a day or two ago.

A color used on new 911s (997s and maybe 996s), called Anthracite, looks wonderful to me. It is near the end of that thread.

Not a great pic, but trim is silver on my '73...only way to go. 16 X 7 & 9s real Fuchs, not Fachs. Really like the RSR finish, when I can get around to it.

For something more affordable and still appropriate I like Minilite style wheels.
