New Power Window Switch Works Miracle
This isn't a sexy post, but thought that those with slow, or very slow windows, would be interested to know that just replacing the window switch with a new one sped-up the power windows dramatically.
I was dreading having to pull the window frames and doing a complete clean-up of the tracks and mechanism and now it isn't necessary, for the short run. One by one my early switches are giving up the ghost. Of course the early switches with the chrome surrounds are NLA. Has anyone successfully torn one down a refurbished? I would be very interested in how you get into the switch without ruining the cosmetics and then steps after that. (I am not holding my breath on any replies ![]()

Probably dropping a good amount of voltage across (bad contacts within) the switch.
Never conducted autopsy of switch, so I can't comment there. Others will chime in on this.. Glad you increased your (window) speed. Best,

Hmmm, very interesting. I will give a try. It would be nice to have them run faster. I did the dread but may need to pull the trigger on new switches.
