Oops, thought I had read it all but, I was wr... wro... wro... w. w. wrong. There i said it.
Excellent job. Paul |
Wow, just when you thought you had a happy ending to a long and tormented story, this happens!! WTF?
Really haven't seen that before in the technical forum and I lurked for quite a while before becoming a "registered user"... |
Bill - yeah, I know. Maybe one of our moderators can shut this guy down or at least remove some of his useless commentary. Save that kinda stuff for My Space.

HottRod or is that NimmRod, I usually don't participate in flames. I have no real statistics but I would guess the vast majority of the folks on this board are non professional mechanics. I am guessing 90% or better make a living some other way. We all use this board because we don't really trust the pros to do it right every time. We all know our limits. We hire pros to do the jobs we just don't have the time or tools to accomplish. It may take me twice as long but when I finish a job I know 100% that it is right, or what I need to do to fix it.
One thing my wife still does not really understand is that I enjoy spending time working on my car. I can afford to hire a professional to repair my car, but I prefer to do it myself. You have not yet posted your credentials. Are you a real factory trained professional mechanic or just a jerk with an attitude? Do you even own a Porsche? If so lets see some photos. Put up or shut up. |
Bill, The post by HottRodd - snot rod - is easily explained. School has just let for the summer. We see this sort of thing every year. Apparently, his parents do not realize he is using their computer.

Cubby has been punked! Sorry to get everyone all festered up. We all work with Cubby and could not resist the urge to mess with him!
We all heard about the bolt for a week straight! All the way up to the birth of the damn thing. Anyway, I do my own repairs on my Olds Alero and KIA Sedona Van Ha! Nothing like what you guys tackle. So you can poke fun at my cars if you feel the need! Sorry for getting everyone involved in a little fun! Please do not hold Cubby responsible for anything we said or done because he will need your expertise in his future endeavors. HottRod, NIMROD, NOTROD, GAYROD Posting for the last time. Peace! |

Nice! I think we all got punked. :D |
That is pretty funny!!:)
How did Cubby take it?? At least he knows that the Pelicans will jump to his defense!! |
OMG......I'm not sure if I'm amused or pi$$ed. I should have realized that this guy knew me....what are the odds that some dillweed would drop out of the sky and snipe me on his very first post. "Hottrod" is actually a good dude (but he is a bit of a jokester) and so I was sharing my bolt saga with him and a few other co-workers. . After he confessed his crime, he said he could not believe how strongly everyone reacted to his little prank. I tried to explain that this is a tightly knit community we have here.
Thanks everyone for "closing ranks" against the evil Hottrod - even though he turned out to be a complete farce. It was worth a few laughs anyway! |
I can ASSURE you there's no room for "pissed", here.
Good Punk move,...but lesson learned about "where" it's circulated? Damn right this a "family" of sorts,..we protect our own,..expecially the little cubbies who are "learning to walk".......and this one won the battle, in the end (even amongst directives to "exodus, as the end of the Earth draws near" from the family members here....why? Not to demean our Cubby, but to protect him,... Other directives? well,..to NOT bow down just yet..... I intently watched this thread...drawng every bit of data on processes that are a bit removed from my experiences (read: "expertise"......saying to myself: "Oh, THAT'S how you do that".....crap like that,...something so seemingly (actually, KNOWINGLY) simply by the ones who do it, day in--day out....having those same people look at what all I do and feel the exact same way....kinda' funny sometimes how that works.....My pompousness is knowing that I have that pompous ability to learn whatever I choose, pompously speaking......it's a matter of trying,..not stopping at it,...and learning along side those that are pros...class will be over with shortly.... (I'm gonna' make those extractor edges bite from now on with that tap approach...!) Good laugh on the joke,..even funnier to watch the groups reaction(s),... Don't frick with these guys 'round here,..there are those with sharp edges that "cut". STILL funny as all hellll...... As to my nearby Canadians,...I love all Canadians simply because I love RUSH..(The Band),..My best friends are Canadian and I would fight for them in a flinch,..Porsche or otherwise.... I'll leave this post with some relevant (Canadian based) lyrics: Philosophers and Ploughmen Each must know his part To sow a new mentality Closer to the Heart Yep,..Cubby won,..Cubby learned,...Cubby's friend made us laugh (at least me, 4sure),..Cubby's connection (someone like us) pulled him through and taught us (me, at least),...Cubby shared his experience (with great pics),..Cubby was defended,.....did I mention Cubby won? ............Cubby be a friend of mine,... ....and Cubby best pay attention to ALL info from the family as to post bolt repair (or all will be for nothing.........) MANY MANY THANKS!!!!!!!!!!! Best to all, |
we're as tight as any dysfunctional family
|
Ultimately, "dys" is one "functional" family (hehehe)
|
Message from Canada: Cubby's friend is a wanker.
