				What is this (firewall)

I'm in the process of removing all glue residues from my firewall, before replacing the insulation. I found a rubber hose that look like some kind of drain and a pair of threaded holes that will be covered by the insulation. Anyone know what the hose and the holes are used for?

Looks like a drain line for the rain gutters and the rear window surround.

			Not sure, though.

Only a guess. The tube may actually be the "conduit" for the wires to the rear window defogger rather than a drain. The threaded holes may used for something that is screwed in from the interior rather than the underside, as they have glue on them and were previously covered.

Definitely a wire shroud. Mine has two brown wires running in it which enter into the fenderwall behind the fuel filter.

Ok, it doesn't show in the picture, but my next question might be "Where are my defrost wires?". As far as I remember there are no wires exiting the hose. Must take a look next time I'm in the garage.

possibly (hopefully) still attached to the rear glass or tucked into the rear glass seal.
