Any reason I shouldn't remove it? Pics...
I do not use my AC and I want to also remove remove the 'RAD' or condensor under my whale tail. My thinking is weight plus let more COOL AIR in. Any reason I should remove it not such as water leaking in though the grill while washing?
Cheers!

Only thing that happens when you remove everything is you lose weight!

I might be interested in your condenser when you remove it. Mine only spans across 3/4 of the opening. It is an '84, but a RoW. If you're interested, please PM me.
If I didn't have to deal with 70-80% humidity, I'd most-likely get rid of mine too. 90 degree temps and 70% humidity sucks. At least my wife and daughter think so... Thanks, Mike

David,
I did the same thing you did and I haven't had any problems with rain so far. I don't think the condenser can stop rain in anycase. -matt |

It does not weigh much, and you will have A/C oil leaking from the lines for a while. That's about the only downside I see. Mine is on the 'to be removed' list ... it's the last leftover from the AC system.

I thougt all there was in there were gases. I had very little leakage but then again my AC was running warm. I beleive I may have had a leak.

I was just tired of always having to swing the compressor aside when doing valve adjusts so I just removed it. I decided to pull the condenser as well. -matt |
