This product contains 10% Ethanol...?
For the first time ever, we now have gasoline mixed with 10% ethanol here in FLA. Will this affect the fuel systems of our stock 911's? How about E-85?

If you do a search, you will find lots of discussion on this. 10% generally seems OK. More than that will affect different types of fuel systems differently. CIS cars seem particularly vulnerable to the effects of alcohol.

I think what Kurt means is, "E10 is a Yes / Go; E85 is a no / No-go".
Pretty much the whole US has E10 now (10% Ethanol). Run down an MTBE-added fuel load to the bare minimum, fill the tank w/ E10, add a bottle of dry gas occasionally, and change the fuel filter a couple of times during the changeover. E10 will attach the crud that's been settling on the tank walls & stir that up into your fuel, so watch the filter. I did 2 filter changes on my 3.2L after the changeover, now doing them annually. I noticed about a 3% loss in power after going to E10, and fuel mileage went down slightly as well. As mentioned, lots of good info on here & elsewhere on the web.

We've had 10% ethanol for at least a decade (pretty sure longer) here in Illinois, and I've never had a problem with it in anything - '88 Carrera included for the last 6 years. Not to worry.

You can still get non e10 at Cosco. I agree the filter needs to be changed more. I have done this twice since the e-10 mess. Each time the filter dumped out cleaner gas. Anyone remember the Gasahol days from the 70's. My dad's fuel filter in his 72 F150 would plug up 4 times a year.

That's funny, as Costco is where I regularly purchase my gas and they just started offering E10 only. Other stations around here do not have it.
