911T Brakes to be fitted to a 912 LWB car

Ok I did see an artical some where I have done some searching and not got the right info..

OK I have a LWB 1969 912 and I have some 911T brakes..

I want to swap them over as the 69 912 has a one year only rear discs $$$$$$$

and I want to upgrade to better twin vented discs as the motor going back into the car is up from the standard 90bhp to 125bhp to sensible to upgrade the brakes..

So I will need to be 100% sure on the caliper type but I am sure at the time I did this research in order to buy the right claipers

can any one help either with the link to tell me how to do it or give some info for me to get started

thanks alot in advance

'69 912 & 911T used the same 18mm solid rotors and M calipers.

I believe that it was from '72 on that they standardized the rotors on T, E, & S to the 20mm vented style.

I've never done this swap but it certainly appears that the vented rotors and later '72 up M calipers are a bolt on

I replaced my solid rears with vented on my 69 912, as I remember its the same caliper except the caliper has a spacer to widen it for the thicker rotor. Mine was just a bolt on and go, I also did the fronts too.

thanks alot.. yes these are twin vented.. other wise it wouldn't be an upgrade.

I have now found some info and I am going to do the rears first..

I also from Alan UK had some info about the fronts. it's easy as long as the ears on the front are 3" long.. I need to check that but not sure what the ears are?
