Back dating, cost/value?
I wonder what the cost is of a quality exterior back date of a nice SC or Carrera to a 73RS is?
If done right to a nice car, I wonder if it adds value to the car and how much. I assume it is more a labor of love or, it one needs a paint job anyway it make more sense. I do love the look of a nice RS. I always like seeing pics of a nice back date. |

There is a company, I believe in San Diego, that specializes in backdating to the 73 RS look. They have had some cars on eBay, and the ad copy talks about their conversions. You may try to Google them or someone here may know the business. My impression was what they offered wasn't too unreasonable in cost, but I have no direct info. I know this is not what you were asking, but you may find more direct information from this company. Wish I could find it for you, sorry

Value? Gimme a break....you do it for yourself, not for somebody down the road.
I get the same question from the douchebags on the 356 list. Stock is where the money is...mods kill value.
