Are you ready for this?

PHOTO CAPTION: This Porsche Carrera now sports a 'no more gas' decal indicating that it's now electrically-powered, a conversion done by West Palm Beach, Florida-based EVPC, LLC.

Better get your gasoline burnin', high revvin' flat six while they're still making
them. Soon, they'll be museum pieces!

I have a 914 I'd actually love to do an electric conversion to, but the cost of electric motors right now (probably related to the price of copper & weak dollar) is pretty harsh.

And it doesn't mean you operate "free" either. You still have to charge it (admittedly the cost per mile is a lot less than with gasoline, but it's by no means zero).

At the cost of this conversion...you wont save any money unless you drive ALOT.
Besides the fact it is not a Porsche anymore after you take the engine out.
