Do you have wheel locks on your wheels or an alarm?

I am looking into an alarm but will get wheel locks until the alarm is installed.

I can see wheel locks for pimp daddy wheels on a Honda but on an a '74 911? Not much market for these wheels. On the other hand, they make for a nice story "Well there I was in the middle of nowhere with a flat and I couldn't get the wheels off 'cause of those darn wheel locks."
I've never heard of wheels being stolen off a 911.

I have both wheel locks and the stock factory alarm on my '84 911 but, the car came like that and it isn't worth the time and effort to remove either item. Besides, they might come in handy.

Waste of time....that's what insurance is for. If I drive in an area that has a high theft rate, I drive the truck.....

Nope, neither.

The only place the car is parked for any length of time is at work, which is, shall we say, pretty secure.

My car came with the "factory" wheel locks, so I've kept them on. The car also came with the factory alarm system, but I don't use it much.

I'm not sure alarms are a worthwhile investment. A locked car with the ignition and/or starting system disabled seems a worthwhile protection scheme, as car alarms in my area are largely ignored as a nuisance.

Discarded the factory wheel locks...... and use 5 VW transporter steel lug nuts on each wheel, better, IMHO and also allows a view of exposed thread...all good things for DE's and such.

Oh....and no longer a question of "glitching up" those nice aluminum lug nuts , depending upon if you use soft sockets or not.....the steelies can take a bit more "abuse" ( abuse?...it's only occasional on and off.. just how delicate must these be? ) .... and keep on looking good.

I probably get two cars a month that the owners drop off with wheel locks and no keys. Takes me about 2 seconds to hammer a 12 point socket on to get them off. Probably takes thieves less.
