Hi, I just finished replacing my brake light pressure sensors on the master cylinder and I still need to cram on the brakes to get the brake lights to work. This was the issue that prompted me to replace the sensors in the first place. Has anyone else run into this or have any suggestions?

there are 2 posibilites according to what I and most people here know, either there a is air in your system (1) or your switches are bad already (2)
1- bleed your fuild 2- our hydrolic switch is know of early failure. It won't stop working completely but it slow down very soon, because it involve with the internal arcing of the switch. When I replaced mine, it works for around 2 months or so before it's start slowing down. Some one even said couple weeks. While someone said several more months. I guess it's depend on how much the brake light is important to you, therefore how much you monitor your brake light. The link below should tell you more detail then I can Brake Light Switch, Again?

rnln - thanks for the link. I'll try re-bleeding the brakes. my sensors were only in the car for about 10 minutes before I re-tested, so I'm hoping they're not bad already ;-) I had planned to install a mechanical switch as well, but after today, it may get bumped up on the list...
