Quick key ignition question
 

I ordered keys for a 1966 ignition that are close...but don't insert all the way in the ignition. I have already re-keyed the door handles and am having a problem releasing the tumblers on the ignitionhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1215825418.jpg
How do I get the tumblers free from the aluminum columnhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1215825514.jpg
If I can get the tumblers free, I can modify them to get the key to work. Help me out hereSmileWavy

Nobody done this before?
 

Theres got to be a locksmith out there. What's the secret...I promise I won't tell anyone;)
