Is this an Air Box Hose?

Hello Gang,

In the process of resolving a spark plug issue I discovered this situation. There appears to be hose connection to the air box and I discovered a cut hose nearby the air box.

The cut hose goes into the vehicle on the drivers side under and in front of the Fuel Filter.

Does this hose go into the air box?

Any Ideas?

There are yellow screwdrivers indicating the hose and air box.

Thanks

RG Najarian

That hose is for the charcoal cannister, and not being connected will not affect running quality. A small amount of unfiltered air will enter the airbox at that hose connection so you should probably figure out an easy way to hook up the cannister hose, maybe its condition is good enough to put back on and hold with a clamp - if it's long enough to reach the airbox.

It is possible that the hose is (was) from the cruise control servo and was just pushed into the opening in the metal support behind the engine.

Upon closer inspection the hose does seem to be from the charcoal canister. Too bad it wasn't for the cruise control.
