Gulf Blue Carrera GT
So I just got back from the local stealership. Went to get a nice new key for the 993, when I saw this. It's a gulf blue carrera gt! I asked one of the employees if he knew anything about it, and he said it was custom ordered from Porsche and there are only two in existence. The other one was delivered to the east coast and was in an accident and deemed a total loss. So this car is now one of a kind. He said the price tag is a little over $800k. Oh and sorry, I wish I could get higher quality pictures. The lighting wasn't all that great.

Wow, thanks for the piccies.
Personally I don't think it really suits the car, makes it look like a big toy! Although Gulf Blue is one of my favourite colours on early 911s... What did you think seeing it in person?

Same car? Not sure on my California geography . . . this was posted a month ago. Guess the $800k cars aren't moving as fast as they used to.

I agree - a tasteful amount of orange would make it perfect. |

For that price you'd think that they would use an enclosed trailer...

Buy it now, sell the car and keep the gas. 100 gallons of fuel of any type is only bound to increase in value . . . $100k in my neck of the woods will buy a lot. With trees. Not "a bunch" but "a lot". Singular. Pack up and head east. We got paved roads here last year!!

I like the blue. Very FU. If you're going to drop the better part of a million on a modern car, make it fun and give it a little FU factor.

I've seen this car for sale before. Frankly, I think the color's a bit goofy. The price is goofy too, this will probably have to sell at a discount, as most people aren't going to want a powder-blue CGT. One thing you don't see too many of are red Carrera GTs...

It's amazing how adding the orange changes to look of a light blue car. I recall driving past a Carrera in this color, maybe a little lighter, here in Dallas a couple of years ago and it did not look appealing at all. Weren't there also some Ford GT 40's (back in the day) that used the Gulf livery (if that's the correct term)?
