Funny, the car got a much warmer reception the last time it was on here. I could do without the clear hood and velocity-stacks but it certainly isn't a clap-trap and I'd be interested in seen it go around a track.

Pretty sure the original engine has been removed

what they are not showing you is that it now has a Subaru motor in the rear -- that's for fuel economy.

The front motor is for when you want to pass somebody.

The best of both worlds, see?

What's wrong with that? Looks well done to me. I doubt it goes around a track - I suspect it goes ALONG a track, for about 1/4 mile, and very quickly at that.

As far as drag racing, I have to say, seeing a nitromethane dragster run a sub-5.00 , 300+ MPH quarter mile is one impressive experience. The engine is about the loudest thing I've ever heard in my life.

The world is full of people who think they know more than factory engineers. Many try. Few succeed.

All that weight up front helps hold the front done when doing those 1/4 mile runs I would guess, I bet it goes like stink.

Think about it- a motor that big would not have fit in the back- so where else would he have put it?

I wouldn't build it- but I can certainly appreciate the level of work.
