Rear Engine Tin Question

The big engine tin piece below the fan, can it be removed and replaced while the motor is in the car??

Reason I ask is I'm about to reinstall the motor, all other tin is nicely repainted and in place, but I had a issue, with a sudden rainstorm and fresh paint on the wide big piece of tin. Now I have to restrip it and start over, but would like to get the motor and trans in the car today if possible.

TIA

Ferg

Engine Tin

I was able to do that on my SC. It is somewhat difficult to access all the screws, but it can be done! Good luck with your engine installation!

Cool, that means I can get the motor in tonight, and take that piece back to the sandblasters tomorrow, and install it later in the week.

You can just drop the rear of the motor an inch or two if you need a little more room, but yes it's doable.

Yes, that piece of engine tin can be removed without having to remove a lot of other items. Just take your time and note how it slips out, so you can slip it back in just how it came out. Good luck!! Tony.
