Quick 901 back up switch question

Hi - my reverse lights don't work. When I short circuit the switch the lights work so I'm going to try replacing the pin first.

Do I need to drain the transmission oil before I remove the switch, or is the switch base sealed from the transmission oil so I can quickly remove it to replace the pin?

Thanks,

Howard

I've done this job a thousand ti,es - no, you won't lose any tranny fluid.
While you've got the switch out check the area on the switch where the pin strikes the switch with a small diameter pin and make sure the plunger is operating. If not replace the switch.
