Certificate of Authenticity for $110
I saw this on the porsche website & just wondered if anyone here has actually purchased this. Would like to see what it looks like. Not sure if it has any real value. thx.

I have one. Leaves off a few important things in my opinion but does include build date and some options.

Waste of money IMO, you know it's a Porsche!!
Silly for them to offer, just a money making scheme. |

Needed to fill a spot in my Bahama Yellow "Porsche Antechamber" and it fit the bill. Besides, I didn't have the $17K extra needed to buy some flaming Tweety floormats.

Here's a sample. "Nice to have" for concours and such and makes a nice item to pass along with the sale to the next owner. I would say it's also nice to have if you have a limited edition P-car. ![]() |

I got one for each of my Carreras ('87, '99) and had them framed together with an extra Porsche hood crest I had laying around. Not cheap, but a nice addition to the office wall.

Here's mine. I think they're all in this format now, from what I've seen- except they don't all say "Bahama Yellow" because not everyone is that special.

Thanks for all the feedback & pictures. I think I'll be able to get a relative to buy me one for xmas. Only thing I'm afraid of is that when I get the detailed specs/options, my car may not have some of the original stuff anymore... and I don't think I'd be a happy camper. I'm the second owner.

Just be aware of the framing & matting costs. I'm told it's an off size.

Waste of $110 IMHO. I have one, but if you have a window sticker or your options under the hood on the newer cars, it is redundant.

For early 911's, the thing is a sad joke. Porsche should be embarrassed to charge such a high fee and put their name on paperwork that is usually incomplete and/or full of errors.

I was disappointed that they couldn't even list the engine type or MSRP but I was looking for build date and drivetrain #s before going on a different route with the restoration.

Got one for my RoW 83. Nice to look at but, missing alot of info. I think that's because it's Porsche of North America. I've heard that you can write to Porsche AG in the fatherland and get more detail...I'll try that route next.
