Help- Lizards pooping on my garaged 911.

Hi guys,

I seem to have a lizard infestation in my garage and they are pooping on my 911 (have to keep it on topic). Any good tips on how to keep them out of the garage?

I googled "Getting rid of lizards" and one person mentioned spreading sulpher around the garage. Will that smell? Any other tips? I have a car cover, but I don't always use it, however they are also pooping on my work bench.

Thanks,
Neil

I found some stuff after googling "lizard trap."

Here ya go:

1. Use a plastic 2 liter bottle and cut off 1/4 of the bottle from the open end. Fill up the bottle with mealworms/waxworms and re-attach the cut off open end, except attach it backwards (so it seems to funnel into the bottle) It will be easy to get into but harder to get out of. Adding a red light above the bottle will also attract the gecko at night.

2. Use a garbage can, rub the inside sides with a good amount of oil. Fill it up with about 20-30 noisy crickets. If you want, add a heat lamp to attract the geckos further. The oil will disrupt the vander waals force that allows a gecko to climb vertically, essentially trapping it.

Garage
I know what you mean - I have these big lizards. Last week one must have been trapped inside the garage and was on the door when I opened it. He must have been holding on for dear life and then he dropped and landed on my shoulder - true story. The wife came out and wanted to know who was screaming! LOL!

The bad part is I think snakes follow them in. I had to run one out yesterday!

I remember my Grandma had one swimming next to her once in Texas. Seems like a scary situation.

I see mouse poop next to it so it is helping you control the rodents.

my old garage had some leaky plumbing above.....dust etc.. (an apartment) so i bought a tarp which fit the footprint and strung it above at an angle so anything dripping would drop at the corner, secured it with bungees, and could easily drop it for better light........of course this won't work if they are ON you 911 and not on the ceiling........

Get a Cat

If you're having a lizard problem, move your car out of the garage and put a hungry cat in the garage with your lizards. Problem solved.

The lzard pictured is a skink. They generally hang out on the ground. How are they pooping on your car?

Actually, looking at the pictures of the lizards in this thread, I have geckos...

I have open rafters in the garage, so they are crawling all over the place and leaving droppings behind, which drop onto the car. I would prefer doing something to keep them out than trapping them.

Thanks for the ideas so far.

I see cotton mouths all the time. That things head look a bit too pointy. The color and size is dead on so it May be.
Second on the cat:
