what changes really occur?

When you change from a 2into 1 muffler to a 2into 2 muffler, what changes can you expect. Is there a power increase, air flow change,sound/loudness change or anything else that really changes? thanks, john

I mounted recently a Dansk complete set 2 in 2 , headers (oem ssi)+ muffler 2x85 on my 3.2.

After some modifications (there were leaks at the jonction headers/muffler) to fit it fine , it sounds really great , not too loud at idle , and a Boeing at full throttle !!!!

I'm sure , comparing for example the Fabspeed RSR i had before (I'll no comment...) , that increases torque a little , final speed stay the same .....but what a pleasure to ear this fabulous sound , this motor breathing free....

It's a really good upgrade , like said in Wayne's book .
I would be curious to know exactly the HP increase comparing a factory muffler.......guy's said 20 HP , others less........

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh !!!!!! That's good !!!!

Expect a very noticeable drone/resonance between 2-3k to the point of real discomfort.
I tried both M&K and Dansk 2in/2out and the drone is too much.
The 2in/2out will increase performance slightly because it's more of a free-flow but................you'll have to deal with the drone.
IMHO the 2in/2out is great for the track but not for every day driving.

It will be louder but the difference in power, if any, will not be noticable. It will sound faster.
I have done both. 2 out was too loud for me on the highway. I loved to listened to it idle, though.

You can get 20 hp by going from a 1 in to a 2 in muffler.

Once you have 2 in, you're not going to get much from 2 out.

Will be very, very irritating after the first really cool 20 minutes. Seriously.

I installed a flowmaster 1 in 2 out (85 3.2)

Any power increase was not noticable.

Very pleasant sound, no droning (happily)

Very pleased with my $200 investment

see ultimate exhaust thread for more info, pics and vid yay
