Storage Tips

I'm about to put my 911 into storage for the winter and I did a search and I can't find a list. I want to make sure the tires don't flat side, and that everything else is ok. So far I have this:

1. Keep battery on the battery tender Or remove battery?
2. put car on jack stands (blocks) or not?
3. Remove any fluids?
4. Cover

Any other ideas? Suggestions? My garage is heated btw.

Good list from Zef. One thing I would add is to put some carpet mats under the tires is you let it sit on them. Prolonged contact with concrete is not good for the tires.
I overinflate the tires and roll my car every couple weeks so it rests on a different spot on the tire.

Fresh oil and brake fluid is very important as is the full tank with fuel stabilizer. I disconnect the battery and store it inside (again, not directly on concrete) and wait until spring to start up again.
Springtime, I dump in some fuel system cleaner and run the car for a good long run (70-80 miles) to clean out any gummy deposits.

invest in a car capsule. One of those inflatable car covers that enclose the car completely. Mice will find a way in your car and nest in various places including the space between the fan cover and your cylinders. Ask me how I know

tony - if you put your comments on the original (longer and more complete) thread instead of here, it will be easier to build it into a wiki and for searches to find it
