Carrera 3.2 Intake Question
I have a '74 Carrera with a 3.2 installed, as well as a Autothority Chip, cat bypass, and muffler bypass. Obviously, '74's don't have issues with smog. I was thinking of installing a Power Flow Kit, or some other similar cone style intake to replace the stock airbox, but have been hearing mixed reviews. I have heard that it does make a difference, that it doesn't make a difference, and that it doesn't do anything, but sounds cool. With the exhaust set up I have, I won't be able to hear it much anyway, so was wondering if anyone had any experience with performance, i.e., throttle response, etc. Thanks for the help.

I replaced the ugly black box by an adapter and a cone filter...The only thing you'll get is a better look and more room to work in the engine compartment.

I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I do like the extra room in the engine compartment. A much cleaner look imo.

It sounds cool and will not give a noticable gain in hp.
Looks tidy too.
