Fuchs: Original or Reproductions?

Can someone tell me if these are original or reproduction Fuchs? I have my opinion but I need a second, third and forth.

Thanks,
Frank

Fake, the webbing looks too thick. The shape of the paddles seems too sharp.

You cant really tell just by your pics. Look for something like this on the inside. The foxhead symbol is the tell-tale sign.

fake! the rim casting has a place to install wheel weights- fuchs never had that. the backside of the center casting does not have smooth rounded edges- they are all squared off.

Probably american eagle brand. Performance products used to sell those years ago

Sending a BIG thanks for everyone's help! I also thought these were fake however the seller claims they are original. I definitely pays to do some research!

Thanks again,
Frank

I'd first like to say that Pelican has been a great source of information and the people I have dealt with have been fantastic. I would like to think that this seller was simply misinformed on what he was selling. I certainly don't want to throw anyone under the bus. However I would be extremely upset if I were to buy these wheels only to find out later that they were indeed reproductions. So for the interest of the Pelican community the seller of the "Fuchs" is kiato4.

I didn't feel comfortable posting in his add that they were fake so I simply sent him a PM stating why I was passing and then posted on his add that I was passing. BTW I was forth in-line for the "Fuchs" so I think Pelicans know what they are buying.

This is a copy of the PM I sent him:

Peter,

When I received the pix I thought right away, reproductions. Just to make sure I posted a tread in the BBS and other Pelican's agree with me. $600 for a set of original Fuchs with shipping is a good deal however $600 for knock-offs in my opinion is too much. With that being said I am going to pass on the fake Fuchs. I would recommend re-listing these as reproductions with a fair price and reasonable shipping cost along with pix and someone will definitely buy them.

Regards,
Frank
