Wheel Questions (old school/Race) w/photos

1)Anyone know what wheels these are? I see them a lot from this era.
2)What sizes are they? look like 20's in the back!
3)Anything available today that at least looks similar?

Thanks!

(photos stolen from URY914 flickr page. AWESOME 70's/80's racing photos, hope its ok to post that)

So is it ridiculous to think there is something out there that is not crazy expensive? And in different sizes? I like the Basketweave with dish, looks awesome.

Paul, You photos are great. Always psyched to see updates on flickr.

I spent quite a bit of quality time with those wheels, at Daytona, back in 1985 or so. They are probably 19" rears and 16" fronts. The part of the wheel that you see in the center is actually removeable. BBS made wheels that had removeable "fans" for exhausting the hot air from inside the wheels, to help cool the brakes. The actual wheels looked more or less like the other BBS wheels of that era. The fans attached to the wheels with screws.

I have seen something that is similar in concept, on the DP935 cars that DP Motorsport built back in the 80's. Kremer might have built a few, too.

When I bought them:

Fitting them with 355/25/19 Pirelli tires which are 2" too small btw:

The widest tire made by Pirrelli has been weighed, measured and been found wanting by 935 standards:

On the car:

They're now at Weidman's Wheels in Oreville having the inner halves downsized by 2" from 15" wide to 13" wide in order to run them on street tires.

The 27" goodyear rain tires (if you can find them) are too tall to fit into anything but the 935 rear bodywork.

With the later, more effective style wheel fans: 19" rears 17" fronts
